To highlight its commitment as the official airline of New York baseball, Delta activated the Delta Dugout ‘Catch A Flight’ experience in the heart of Flatiron Plaza.

Delta gave fans the opportunity to literally ‘Catch A Flight’ by launching baseballs into large mits using our custom flight launcher. By ‘making a catch’, fans could win great prizes such as stadium suites, game tickets, flight vouchers, team memorabilia and more. Guests were asked to sign up for the Delta Dugout program with flight attendants in the queue via iPads. The space was strategically designed to emulate an authentic baseball experience with the tent designed to look and feel like the outfield at a game. The trained brand ambassadors dressed in Delta-branded coach and ball boy uniforms to give tips to fans as they used the launcher and provided commentary play-by-plays  to liven up the atmosphere and draw bystanders in. BAs also interacted with fans waiting in the queue by handing out Delta Dugout-branded popcorn and cracker jacks.

As the hometown airline, Delta has had a longstanding partnership with the Atlanta Braves and Turner Field. As the Braves move to SunTrust Park next season, Delta seized the unique opportunity to highlight its official airline status and its storied history with Turner Field in ATL’s iteration of Delta Dugout. Delta gave fans the true all-access Dugout experience with a day that included an exclusive highlights tour of Turner Field and baseball-themed catering at the Sky 360 Lounge. In line with the ‘Catch a Flight’ theme, guests were given the chance to win incredible Braves memorabilia, Delta flights and more at the flight launcher in the heart of the field. The 150 invited guest list included social media contest winners, Atlanta-based influencers and SkyMiles Medallion members to ensure a captivated eHVC audience.
